Come and enjoy spectacular ocean views from this secluded retreat with its custom stone fireplace and an ocean-side screened porch. You will soon forget all about home, work, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Doc's Place on Southport Island provides a feast for your eyes as you take in the majestic Atlantic and quaint Squirrel Island. SO MUCH TO SEE, SO MUCH TO DO! Are you an ocean enthusiast with an unquenchable thirst to see, hear and smell the crashing surf, to find that next tidal pool, to dive into the cold, refreshing waves? Or do you prefer to curl up with a good book beside a crackling fire or soaking in the rays on your private, rocky beach? Because either way, Doc's Place is just for you. This secluded retreat offers one floor living with spectacular ocean views through its wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows, deck and screened porch. THE HOUSE is a unique, water-front cottage you will want to revisit year after year! The sprawling, contemporary, one-story home (with loft) was designed to maximize the water views from the property. Enter through the fully-equipped kitchen and on into the spacious living room and dining area. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows give you an unobstructed view of the ocean behind the cottage, with a private dock & float. In the middle of the living room, a custom fireplace made of river rock with a sunken, half-moon, leather bench facing it, gives the living room a cozy feel (particularly on those chilly summer nights). The screened-in porch off the living room is ideal for alfresco dining and enjoying the views from the comfortable outdoor seating. The master bedroom also has its own slider door leading out to the porch as well as a flat-screen TV with cable/satellite channels. FREE WIFI INCLUDED! Steps on both sides of the fireplace lead to the "Jack & Jill" style bathroom, which allows someone to be using the toilet & shower side of the bathroom while someone else can use the toilet & sink on the other side of the bathroom, at the same time. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, the fourth bedroom contains a set of full-size bunk beds in the loft area accessed by stairs behind the fireplace. Though technically you could squeeze 8 adults into this house, the owners prefer to keep occupancy to no more than six for your comfort. The dishes, seating and so forth reflect this preference.
