The cottage next door, Piffi Biff, can be rented in conjunction with Pine Cliff Dweller for a mini-reunion, girls get-a-way or multi-family vacation. Together, these neighboring cottages make a nice package. From the house and the dock you can watch all boats of all different types and sizes from yachts to lobster boats, sailboats to dinghies; you will see it all. Porpoise, the occasional whale, and migratory shorebirds are all part of the sights and sounds you'll experience during your stay. Burnt Island and Squirrel Island, as well as the entrance to Boothbay Harbor can be seen from the cottage. Like lobster? Connect with local lobstermen for dockside service right on your private dock.
THE HOUSE: The dining room is situated in a corner with three walls of windows overlooking the ocean, your dock, and a couple islands. This is the perfect spot for morning coffee and lingering over the evening meal. Enjoy Cocktails and appetizers on the deck. The social areas of the house are open and inviting, with large windows and slider doors which let in lots of natural light. The working, wood burning fieldstone fireplace is a local tradition and adds to the ambiance of this Maine cottage by the sea. The bedroom is on the main floor has a Queen bed. There is also a futon in the family room that folds out into a double bed and a full bathroom with shower/tub combo also located on the main floor. The living room has a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. WiFi is available throughout the house. The Master Bedroom is located on the second floor with a King Bed and panoramic windows overlooking the ocean. The en-suite bathroom has double sinks and a shower/tub combo.

Southport Island is a hidden treasure on the Boothbay Peninsula. Two miles from Boothbay Harbor, you cross the bridge onto the island and feel the world change around you. Rent kayaks locally or bring your own and launch them from right the property. Nearby you will find hiking trails, biking, the Southport Historical Society Museum and Southport Beach with views of Hendrick's Head Lighthouse. Visit the Southport Memorial Library to check out the famous Ruby Slippers and learn about their connection to the area. While you are there, borrow a Rachel Carson book and explore some of her favorite spots on the island. Farmers markets and food stands are THE spot to buy fresh and local. Don't forget the seafood! Lobster abounds in this area and can be purchased at the many lobster pounds on the island, including Robinson's Wharf and Oliver's Restaurant. The Southport General Store is known for its breakfast pizza and sandwiches and extensive wine collection and gift barn. You'll want to come back again and again!
